The Balasinor Pragati Samaj was established in 1968 with the prime objective of providing relief to the needy members of the community residing in mumbai. The roots of the foundation are based on the principal of service & purposeful co-operation to those who seek its help.

The Samaj made a humble beginning by starting a Recurring , Saving A/c Scheme & slowely graduated to more meaningful activities, like providing finance for business devlopment & housing loans. The Samaj also staayed committed to it's social agenda by providing loans for marriages, medical exps. or major residental repair works.

The Samaj is also providing relief through it's Poverty Relief Fund & thereby striving hard to uplift the downtridder member of it's community. The Samaj also runs Sanitorium at Kandivali, Girgaum & Hira Building providing temporary shelter for those who have such a need . The rooms are upto date & well provided, " Atithi Graha" , as they are called have provided welcome relief for transit travellers passing through Mumbai as well as students & residents who need temporary shelter.

The B.P.S. manage a numbers of charitable trust which have enabled it to carry out ot's various social as well financial activities. The list of the Charitable Truts managed by us are:-

From the above trusts we give relief to students & needful people for buying new house or loans for development of businesses.

In 1993 the B.P.S. Celebrated it's silver jubilee. Today the strenght is over 840 members. The Enrollment charges are 501/- the Life Membership Fees are 501/-. The B.P.S. shifted to it's new office in 1995.

Prosperity & progress are relative & time bound. Good fortune cannot come to everyone. If a fortunate person can return even 10% back to the Society by way of relief to the less fortunate, he has served his community well. On the basisof this motto the member of B.P.S. have been forthright & generous & they have enabled the Samaj to carry out it's obligations successfully. The B.P.S. forever remain obliged to them.

We are managing 4 Atithi Griha at Borivali in the name of Manjulaben N. Parikh ( Bhakhali ) with 8 Modern 1 B/R Flat, another at Hira Bldg, at Mangalwadi Girgaon & one at Balasinor.

We have purchased new office in 1995 & Received Donation from our community. We are also thankful to them.
